Measurement of the risk of suffering a fall, through a validated scale.

Objectives:

– To identify the patient susceptible to falls. – Establish the necessary actions to prevent falls in patients identified at risk.

Equipment:

– FRS falls risk assessment scale.

Material:

– Nursing records.

Procedure:

– Preserve the patient’s privacy. – Inform the patient. – Request the collaboration of the patient and family. – Assess the risk of suffering a fall using the FRS scale. – Record in the nursing documentation: score obtained, date and time, incidents and patient response.
